How to Apply Eye Cream

Applying eye creamEye creams are wonder treatments for reducing the appearance of crow’s feet, under-eye puffiness and redness. But, if your eye cream isn’t applied correctly you could be exacerbating these problems. Follow our four-step guide to eye cream application and take care of one of your most important features.

  1. Apply a small pea-size amount of product to your ring finger. Your ring finger is your smoothest finger and isn’t as strong as your index finger, making it ideal for applying your eye cream gently to this very delicate area of skin.

  2. Dot the eye cream onto the bone of your eye socket and follow it around to the outer corners of your eye. You may need to apply the cream a little further out at the corners of your eyes so that your crow’s feet are covered with product.

  3. If the eye cream is not absorbed easily into your skin it is likely you have used too much product. Make sure you only dot the eye cream on – never rub it in as the skin in this area is very delicate.

Good to Know...

Stick to applying cream to the bone of your eye socket, if you apply it too closely you may irritate your eye if product gets into it.

For an instant lift after applying your eye cream, apply a light layer of under-eye highlighter to help reduce the appearance of dark circles.
